Our Story

Built on the
beginning.

ARCHE is more than a ministry. It's a people — rooted in Scripture, shaped by gospel, and sent into Houston together.

The Name

What does
"ARCHE" mean?

The Greek word ἀρχή (archē) carries a profound depth of meaning — it's the word the Apostle John uses in the opening of his Gospel: "In the beginning was the Word."

Arche means beginning, origin, and archetype. It points to the source of all things — Jesus Christ, the one in whom all things hold together. We take our name seriously: we exist to point people back to the beginning, to the author and perfecter of faith.

As the English ministry of Korean Central Presbyterian Church of Houston, ARCHE bridges generations and cultures — honoring our Korean-American roots while building something new for the next generation.
