Hello KCPCH Family!
As you may have heard, the Federal Government, CDC, local authorities have announced and implemented new regulations during this unprecedented time for our nation and our world.
As such, our Senior Pastor and Elders have also decided to do our best to be loving to those around us because we as the church need to do our best to love the world God loves so much. As you may have heard, we encourage everyone to take seriously our part in trying to “flatten the curve.” If this idea is new to you, here is a very helpful video that explains it fairly clearly. (see below)
Effective IMMEDIATELY, we have implemented the following regulations and changes (please pay close attention to all of them so that we can all act as a united body):
FOR THE WEEK OF 3/16/2020 – 3/22/2020:
1. ALL buildings on campus will remain closed for the entire week. It will only be accessed at particular time to be cleaned and disinfected (details regarding this later in the email).
2. ALL Sunday Worship Services will be streamed online this coming Sunday – 3/22/2020. Only essential participants will be present at church in order to conduct worship.
3. All early morning prayers have been cancelled. They will not be available to stream.
4. All other meetings including missions training, staff meetings, membership class, etc. are also cancelled.
5. All pastoral staff will be working remotely from home.
6. For the KM adult side – Wednesday Night Worship will be streamed online. Please visit www.kcpch.org for more details.
7. The following is a breakdown of other worship services that will be available to stream:
– ARCHE Sunday Worship @ the normal 11 AM time slot. It is available via our youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEFp0P9FFw-SnnM6tYRVlUw
– CCC Sunday Worship @ 11 AM
– Korean Young Adult worship – time TBD.
8. Pre-school and Elementary ministry will not be streaming worship. We encourage families to worship together on Sunday.
9. All small groups church wide (including YAG) will not be meeting physically this week. We encourage y’all to try to meet digitally if possible. YAG Leaders, P. Goose will be providing further instructions.
FOR THE WEEK OF 3/23/2020 – 3/30/2020:
1. Availability for in-person church worship will be determined at a later date for 3/29/2020. As it has been, online streaming will continually be available going forward.
2. All early morning prayers and other meetings as detailed above are cancelled.
3. Wednesday Night for KM adults will be available to stream.
As we discussed this past Sunday, what is important in this time is for us to continually pray and seek God’s wisdom as to how we are to love God’s creation. We believe at this time, it is imperative that we take the regulations and recommendations seriously. Although we may not be able to see each other physically for a little while, we can still gather and worship together via the technologies that we have. Please utilize our ability to connect even as we are physically separated. Let us continue to be the church! Remember! The CHURCH is not a building, a location, a meeting, but a people separated and dedicated to our God who have surrendered to Him and therefore act and behave and love as He has, is and will continue to do as best as we can!
